{Old Fashioned} Lemonade

Every winter at about this time we need a little lightening up.
A quick way to brighten up a dark winter day.  A simple reminder that spring is around the bend.
This old fashioned lemonade recipe did just the trick.

Maybe it's the fresh scent of tart lemons,
or that crisp pop of color they add to the fruit bowl.
Whatever it is, these little lemons provide the perfect hint of sunshine
to any drab winter day.

What you need
1 3/4 cups white sugar
8 cups water
1 1/2 cups lemon juice

What you do
1.In a small saucepan, combine sugar and 1 cup water.
Bring to boil and stir to dissolve sugar.
Allow to cool to room temperature, then cover and refrigerate until chilled.

2.Remove seeds from lemon juice, but leave pulp.
In pitcher, stir together chilled syrup, lemon juice and remaining 7 cups water.

3. Best enjoyed in a tall glass with your feet up.
